Anemoi

I am fascinated how the Greek Pantheon of Gods and Creatures seems both a phantastic narrative and some kind of early system of scientific classification of phenomena.

Anemoi is the third of several series of artworks which draw inspiration from Ancient Greek mythology. On each work, one of the cardinal winds is portrayed. It consists of four separate works on paper. Each piece was done by the same procedure: first applying ink, then adding elements by using oil crayon in an abstract way, in an attitude of no intention.
