Back then, I felt the neccessity to explore the tiny muscle tremors in my body and drew them on pieces of paper. It was like a dance improvisation, and with much less body movements, it felt even more subtle. It was quite curious, how the drawings became more cryptic and more substantial with each passing day. For me, it is a diary of my subconsciousness.

The artwork consists of more than 30 separate works that are titled episodes. Each episode consists of a black ink pencil drawing on white paper, each 20 x 20 cm. All episodes were created between 25 February and 07 April 2023. Each day, an episode was created around 20:00, immediately after a 15-minute continuous breathing session, by sitting straight in front of the paper and holding the pen upright – waiting for impulses to appear. When an impulse started, the movement sequence of the impulse was transferred directly onto the paper. No intentions or thoughts interfered with the drawing process. When the impulses ceased, the work of art was considered finished and signed with the date of that day in pencil.

In preparation for the presentation at the group exhibition Analysis of Anger by Zentrale für Kunst at the Baumwollspinnerei Leipzig, a series of episodes was compiled into a handmade booklet. The booklet is positioned on a small wooden table, with a wooden chair nearby, inviting visitors to sit and peruse the material. The setting is completed by a small Persian carpet, which contributes to an intimate and warm ambience.
